Teriyaki Burgers

  • 13 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened crushed pineapple

  • 1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 3 scallions, chopped

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean Tom Friday's ground beef

  • 4 to 6 hamburger buns

 1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, crushed pineapple, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and scallions in a bowl.

2. In a separate bowl mix egg with ground beef until well combined.

3. Add soy sauce mixture with beef mixture and mix with hands until well combined. Shape beef into 4 to 6 patties.

4. Preheat grill to medium heat and place buns on grill. Cook 5 to 8 minutes per side or until desired degree of doneness. Make sure thermometer reads at least 160 degrees F.

5. Remove burgers and place on warmed burger buns. Top with grilled pineapple slices if desired.
